On the first floor of The Oxley 1823 in Mermaid Beach, Norté is a Latin American restaurant living by the spirit of Mexico City and at the forefront of the Gold Coast dining scene. Since opening, Norté has quickly established itself as one of Australia’s standout restaurants, earning a nomination for Best New Restaurant in Australia in its first year. The restaurant was also recognised for its distinctive interiors, receiving Best Restaurant Design for its bold, theatrical spaces inspired by 1960s and 70s Mexico City.
Everything at Norté starts at the hearth, where a deep respect for the many traditions of Latin American cooking meets exceptional produce from growers and fishers close to home. Before launching Norté, Head Chef Rodolfo “Rudy” Malinverni travelled extensively across Latin America, immersing himself in the flavours, traditions and stories that now shape the menu. A finalist for Best New Talent at the Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Awards, Rudy brings these influences together through live-fire cooking and the richness of Latin American cuisine - a bold, confident expression that honours tradition, with a contemporary modern lens.
For larger groups, this experience takes shape across two shared menus. The Condesa moves through Norté’s signature dishes, from snacks and starters to mains and sides, while The Polanco showcases premium dishes and seasonal highlights for a fuller taste of what the fire can do. Both menus take the decision-making out of dining, making them ideal for marking an occasion, hosting a corporate dinner or simply bringing people together over good food. The drinks offering is equally thoughtful, with one of the region’s most extensive selections of tequila and mezcal, alongside classic and signature cocktails and a curated wine list spanning Australia, Central and South America.
With a dining room that wraps around an open kitchen before opening onto a sun-drenched terrace, Norté offers a warm and atmospheric setting suited to everything from an intimate dinner to a larger celebration.

Suẽno Rooftop
Above Norté, Sueño is a rooftop bar made for long afternoons that turn into late nights. Open-air terraces, tropical greenery, and a bar at the centre of it all. The menu is built for sharing, drawn from the flavours of coastal Latin America; ceviche, tacos, premium seafood and seasonal plates, made to bring people together.
Indoors and out, there's room to move between drinks, dining and the dance floor as the evening finds its feet. Expect fresh seafood, handmade tortillas, grilled skewers and seasonal dishes, easy to pass around a group, alongside a cocktail list with a love for tequila and mezcal, local beers, wine and the usual favourites.

Private Dining Room + Bar
For larger occasions, the private dining room joins with Norté Bar to hold up to 100 guests for a cocktail function, offering two spaces for dining and mingling.
Behind the main dining room, Norté Bar is an intimate setting for cocktail receptions, canapé events and late-night celebrations, and the natural place to carry the evening on once dinner is done. Together, the two give you room to move through the night rather than stay in one spot.

The whole rooftop, yours. Sueño is available for exclusive hire, a cocktail-style setting for celebrations, corporate events and private functions, built for good food, good drinks, and getting everyone in one place.
Made for standing events, the rooftop lets guests move between the bar, the open-air terraces and the spaces in between. When the weather's on side, the northern and southern terraces come into play, and there's room to spread out with a drink in hand.
The menu is built around sharing, with roaming canapés, substantial cocktail items and event packages drawn from the flavours of Latin America. Fresh seafood, ceviche, tacos, grilled skewers and seasonal dishes, alongside margaritas, agave spirits, local beers, wine and signature cocktails.
